Essential Beauty Treatments for Every Bride-to-Be

While it’s often one of the most exciting events of our lives, weddings are full of stressful preparations, and brides-to-be are often so busy making bookings, organising their bridal party, and sending out invites, that their beauty treatments get lost in the mix. Every bride deserves to feel like the best version of herself when she walks down the aisle, so here’s a list of treatments Dream Spa recommends every bride-to-be book in for before she says, “I Do”.

Facial Routine
To ensure fresh, radiant skin on your big day, our therapists recommend regular facials for the six months leading up to the wedding. Depending on your skin type and desired outcomes, the facial type will vary, whether it be an LED facial to reduce acne and inflammation, microdermabrasion for a deep exfoliation, or a collagen booster to give that youthful glow, our therapists will help you determine what ongoing treatments will suit your individual skin needs. We recommend booking a facial every six weeks to ensure maximum results.
Your final facial should be booked in at least one week prior to your wedding. Facials are designed to clear toxins from the skin and bring out impurities, so you want to ensure that you have at least a full week for any blemishes to clear up before you walk down the aisle.

 Full Body Exfoliation
Dream Spa’s exfoliation is both an essential and a relaxing treatment that uses a gentle scrub to buff away dead skin cells on the body. Following the exfoliation, our therapists apply a hydrating moisturiser that will leave your skin silky smooth and honeymoon-ready!

While an obvious pre-wedding essential, we wanted to include waxing on our list because we are often asked by clients how soon they should book in for their waxing appointments prior to having their spray tans applied. Dream Spa recommends booking in for your waxing one-two days prior to your spray tan to ensure your skin has time to recover.

Mani Pedi
Did you know Dream Spa offers spa manicures and pedicures? Get your fingers and toes glammed up the day before the wedding and enjoy a hand and foot massage while you’re at it! You can upgrade your spa pedicure to include a foot peel for only $20, ensuring the soles of your feet are as smooth as the dance moves you’ll be busting out later in the night.

While you might not consider this to be an essential treatment, in the weeks leading up to their wedding day, most brides-to-be are carrying a lot of stress and anxiety. It’s important to take some time out during the planning process to decrease muscle tension, lower stress levels, and clear your mind. Meditation, yoga, or a full body massage can all help you to switch off just for an hour and to rejuvenate your mind and body so you’re in a better place to continue with the wedding preparations.

Check out Dream Spa’s Spa Rituals webpage for a package that includes a combination of the above. We personally recommend our most popular treatment, the Dream Bliss Body and Facial, however we encourage you to have a chat with our therapists who can help you plan your treatments so you get the most out of your day spa visit.
